Privacy Policy
MileMint is a vehicle expense and mileage tracking app for self-employed and gig drivers, operated by Dawked Up Productions LLC. This policy explains how MileMint handles your information.
The Short Version
MileMint does not have an account, a login, or a server, and we do not collect your data. Everything you track — vehicles, trips, mileage, fuel, maintenance, repairs, gig shifts, receipts, notes, and reports — is stored only on your device. We cannot see it, because it is never sent to us.
- No account, no sign-in. You do not create a MileMint account.
- No MileMint server. There is no MileMint backend that receives your data.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking, no ads. We use no third-party analytics, telemetry, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No App Tracking Transparency prompt is required.
- No third-party data processors. We do not send your data to any third party.
What Is Stored, And Where
All of the following is stored locally on your device in the app's on-device database (Apple's SwiftData). None of it is transmitted to MileMint:
- Vehicles and vehicle details.
- Trips, mileage, trip start/end points, and Gig Mode route samples and shift records.
- Fuel, maintenance, and repair records.
- Receipts (images and recognized text) and expense entries.
- Notes and the reports/exports you generate (mileage and expense reports, CSV exports, cost-per-mile, spending trends, vendor analysis).
Because this data lives on your device, it is protected by your device passcode and iOS's on-device encryption.
Location
MileMint uses your location — including background location, with your permission — on your device to detect and log driving trips for mileage records. Precise GPS starts only while you are driving (Motion data is used on-device as a low-power trigger) and stops when you are stationary. Your trip coordinates and route samples are stored on your device and are not sent to MileMint.
Optional Address Lookup (off by default). If you turn on Address Lookup in Settings, MileMint sends trip coordinates from your device to Apple's geocoding service (CLGeocoder)so the app can show street, city, or place labels for your trip start and end points. This is a request to Apple's service and is governed by Apple's privacy policy; the coordinates are not sent to MileMint and we never receive or store them. Mileage tracking works fully with Address Lookup off.
Camera And Receipts
When you scan a receipt, the image and the text recognition are processed on your deviceusing Apple's on-device text recognition (Apple Vision). You can also enter fuel, maintenance, and repair records manually. Receipt images and recognized text never leave your device. MileMint does not use any cloud or AI service to read your receipts.
Optional iCloud Backup (Off By Default)
MileMint lets you optionally save a backup of your data to your own private iCloud Drive, and restore it later. When you do this:
- The backup is stored in your personal iCloud account, which is yours, not ours.
- Apple encrypts iCloud data in transit and at rest.
- MileMint never receives, stores, or can read your backup. It is your data in Apple's storage that you control.
This backup is off until you choose to create one. You can delete your backup from your iCloud at any time.
Subscriptions And Payments
MileMint offers two auto-renewable subscription tiers, MileMint Pro — $7.99/month or $49.99/year — each with a free trial provided through Apple. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment method, credit-card information, billing address, or Apple account credentials, and we use no third-party purchase processor. Apple manages billing, the free trial, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Apple may retain purchase records as needed to operate the App Store; see Apple's privacy policy.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell, rent, license, or share your data with anyone.
- We do not use ad networks, ad SDKs, or data brokers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not run analytics, telemetry, or crash/error reporting.
- We do not operate a MileMint server that receives your trips, mileage, receipts, expenses, vehicles, notes, or reports.
Permissions We Request
- Location (While Using / Always) — to automatically log driving trips for mileage records on your device. Precise GPS starts only when motion indicates vehicle travel.
- Motion & Fitness — to detect when you start and stop driving so GPS can stay off the rest of the time, which saves battery. Processed on device.
- Camera — to scan receipts. Images are processed on your device.
- Notifications — optional, to remind you about maintenance and long-running Gig Mode shifts.
If you deny location, MileMint still works for manual vehicle, expense, receipt, report, and settings workflows; automatic trip capture resumes when you grant location again.
How To Delete Your Data
Because there is no account and no MileMint server, there is no server-side data for us to delete — we never have your data. You control all of it:
- Delete the app to remove all local MileMint data from your device.
- Use the in-app reset to erase your MileMint data while keeping the app installed.
- Delete individual records (for example, individual trips) within the app.
- Delete your iCloud backup, if you created one, from your own iCloud storage.
Children's Privacy
MileMint is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because MileMint collects no data and has no account, no personal information about any user — including a child — is transmitted to or held by us. If you believe a child has used the app and you have concerns, contact us at the address below.
Changes To This Policy
We will update this page and bump the "Effective" date above when this policy changes. If a future version introduces any data collection (for example, optional cloud sync to a MileMint server, analytics, or crash reporting), we will update this policy and the App Store privacy labels before that version ships, and disclose it to you in-app.
